If you’re in Krakow and want a dining experience that blends elegance with flavor, Regale is an absolute must. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this was a restaurant that takes pride in both its atmosphere and its menu. The steak was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. I also tried their beef tartare, which was one of the freshest and most well-seasoned I’ve had anywhere. A nice touch was the focus on probiotics, adding a unique and thoughtful health element to the meal that made the experience feel even more elevated. The wine list was equally impressive, offering pairings that perfectly complemented the rich and savory dishes. Service was attentive and professional without being overbearing, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Regale truly delivers a top-tier dining experience and is a place I’ll be recommending to anyone visiting Krakow.
Starters were smaller than expected (soup and burata(. Mains were just ok (hamburger and pierogi(. We were disappointed so we skipped desserts. Service was wonderful.
An excellent dining experience in the heart of Krakow’s Old Town. The restaurant offers a refined atmosphere with elegant seating and impeccable service. The menu is well-curated, featuring high-quality ingredients and beautifully presented dishes. Every course was flavorful and thoughtfully prepared, complemented by a well-selected wine list. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring a relaxed yet sophisticated experience. A perfect spot for a special occasion or a memorable evening out. Highly recommended! Definitely try the Tatar!!
A must if you visit the town. In the top 5 restaurants to eat in Krakow. A perfect fussion between tradition and contemporary cuisine. Starting with the bread selection that we absolutely enjoyed. From the soup to the duck breast everything was cook to perfection. With a unique steak tartar. In addition we had a polish red wine that was recommended by our server and it was the perfect companion for our menu selection. The service was excellent. The servers had very good knowledge of the menu and they were very attentive. However I personally found it a bit overwhelming, maybe too attentive at times because we prefer a little bit more privacy. Sometimes less is more. But they were absolutely perfect, kind and they would guide you through the entire evening. My partner stayed in the town a couple of days more for work reasons and he came back with some work colleagues. Highly recommended.
Loved everything except the food I've ordered. At entrance I was informed only the bar menu will be available. When I expressed my disappointment lady asked again and told me I could order restaurants menu but I might have to wait a little longer. Got an excellent amuse: cold borscht with some bread and 2 kinds of butter: whipped with smoked salt and another with thyme only thing I didn't like was too much sweet aged balsamic vinegar. Sour rye soup had excellent flavors for example I loved addition of boletus foam but the soup itself was very normal and too salty and a bit too sour like the soup usually is but it lacked sausage and had little pieces of fried pork rind instead. I later found out it was head chefs grandma's original recipe; traditions which hold up progress deserve to die. I think the soup should have been at least diluted not to overwhelm other flavors. "Ruthenian dumplings" were pretty good but not exceptional; delicate and moist with marinated onions were too sweet and sour for the dish, sauce with a similar but milder character was excellent. When I asked what the green stuff on top is I was told "some herbs"... The Blackberry Spitz was +/- the best thing I ever drank great balance of sweet and sour 41 PLN is still a lot for a simple virgin cocktail even at a high end restaurant. Before paying I got best sweets of my life a chocolate praline I forgot to photograph and a rose jelly. The whole experience felt very luxurious except "some herbs" and that I wasn't too impressed with the food. Definitely worth a try.
