If I could give it 6 stars for food and service, I would. Maja greeted me as soon as I walked in and immediately switched to excellent English for me. I was seated at a very comfortable table and enjoyed some of the best food I have eaten which was all recommended to me as I had no idea about the portion sizes or exactly what everything is. The pierogi especially are beautiful in taste. I’ve been introduced to proper Polish food today and I’m in awe at how delicious and vibrant it is. My compliments to the chef, you are doing incredible work! If you’ve read this far, please visit their restaurant, it finished my trip in Krakow in a beautiful way and I really hope to be back!
What a gem! Stayed not too far from here and went for an early dinner after we’d settled. The waitress Maja went above and beyond to ensure we had a truly authentic experience. Each dish was well explained along with what times of year each would be eaten, what sides are traditional for it etc etc. Felt like a big win to have that level of understanding on the first night. The dishes were well presented and it was probably the best quality food we had all trip. That being said; you do pay a premium in comparison to other restaurants, but here you definitely experience the value in that extra. The interior fits the vibe, maintaining some original aspects while modernising what needs to be. A chique industrial feeling, with warm well placed lighting in the evening makes the space feel intimate despite the open plan. Bonus points for the cheat sheet of recommended bars! Nearly every one on the list was a hidden gem. If you receive the same don’t be surprised when locals ask you “how you’ve found this place?”. Thanks again Maja and team!
I came here twice during a visit to Krakow and loved everything I ordered for both meals! I had the noodle soup, duck pierogi, sour soup, and duck leg with fennel salad, along with the bread/butter/lard/pickles/salami starter. Additionally, the service was great and I was accommodated as a party of one despite it being very busy on my second visit which was a Friday night (I made reservation earlier in the day). This is a great place to eat.
We have waited long time for the dinner, but I must admit it worth waiting. I tried the best barszcz soup in my life and foods were generally top level. Chicken I had in the picture had amazing deep salad with green sauce. I could just have eaten that in a separate plate :) atmosphere is very nice
We had the New Year’s Eve dinner. It was slightly overpriced, which is understandable. The food was great overall, but the duck skin wasn’t properly done. What bothered me was the limited dining time, especially given that we waited around 50 minutes for our main course. The staff were kind and friendly, but could use a bit more experience.
